New Yorker here, I know full well we are very aggressive drivers where that is not the vibe here. BUT on several occasions now I’ll be making a right turn on a green light and opposing traffic wants to turn left, and goes at the same time or even before my right turn which can be very dangerous, almost hit someone today who did that. In every state I’ve driven this does not and should not happen but seems common place here. Curious if there’s a different law or etiquette here to be aware of?
EDIT: today’s example was that we were both turning into a one lane street. This is the 5th something like this has happened in my two months here. Wanted to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something.
