Is it just me or have the scooters gotten much more popular lately? Just now I was at home and heard a crash, when I looked outside it was a woman who crashed on a Lime scooter and hit her head, blood everywhere and taken in an ambulance. A neighbor recently broke his arm on one and right before that I witnessed someone get absolutely smoked two steps outside of the door of their building by someone flying down the sidewalk (on a road with a separated bike lane). And then there are the people who had kids riding on the scooter with them, thankfully I haven’t seen one of those wreck (yet!).
Why do we tolerate this? Especially on sidewalks, it’s dangerous for everybody.
