Light rail riders will have to hop off the train and onto a replacement shuttle bus between Capitol Hill and Northgate stations. Sound Transit, the agency that runs the train service, attributed the issue to a “ventilation safety fault” and alerted riders they would need to use 1 Line Shuttle buses at the Northgate, Roosevelt, U District, University of Washington and Capitol Hill stations. It’s unclear where the issue was found. Shuttle stops can be found at the following locations: Northgate: to Angle Lake: Northgate Station — Bay 4 Roosevelt: to Lynnwood: 12th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 67th Street to Angle Lake: Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast 65th Street U District to Lynnwood: Northeast 43rd Street and Brooklyn Ave Northeast to Angle Lake: University Way Northeast and Northeast 43rd Street Univ of Washington to Lynnwood: Northeast Montlake Boulevard and Northeast Pacific Place, Bay 4 to Angle Lake: Montlake Boulevard Northeast and Northeast Pacific Place, Bay 3 Capitol Hill to Lynnwood: East John Street and Broadway Avenue East Riders can still take the train service between the Lynnwood City Center and Northgate stations, and between the Capitol Hill and Angle Lake stations. submitted by /u/jspector9 |
