Looking to make queer neurodivergent friends in Kirkland/Seattle area
Hey there! My name’s DJ (27, she/her), and I’m a lesbian trans girl based in Kirkland. I’m looking to connect with other queer and neurodivergent folks in the area, ideally people who love creativity, conversation, and just being real. I’d also be happy to meet allies or others outside that exact circle — I’m open-minded, just really eager to find people I vibe with.
I’m very recently out and still early in my transition (but eagerly taking action), so I know I still present in a way that might surprise people. Just want to be upfront about that — I’d really appreciate connecting with people who are kind, understanding, and inclusive.
Music is my biggest passion: I’m a self-taught bass EDM singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ. I also play guitar, ukulele, drums, and a bit of piano. Outside of music, I love anime, action RPGs, urban adventures, movie nights, and getting outdoors with friends when the weather’s nice. I’m a stoner too, in case that’s relevant for you, but in general I tend to gravitate toward mellow but meaningful hangouts.
I work early hours during the week, so I’m mostly free on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays (anytime before 6pm). I’m hoping to find ways to get out of the house more, maybe through casual group meetups, one-on-one hangouts, or even just a good Discord server. I don’t mind whether it’s a chill hangout or a more energetic event, I’m just trying not to spend all my time alone!
I’m mainly looking for friends, but I’m also curious about trying dating since I’ve never explored it at all before. Ultimately, I’m just hoping to find a space or a person where I feel like I belong.
If you have any group recommendations or you want to connect, I’d love to hear from you 💜 Thanks for reading!
