Lower Kinnear Park

Lower Kinnear Park is not a PvP zone right now. I walk through this park practically everyday. In the past few years, I refused to wear headphones or earpods, just to keep myself more aware of my surroundings. The rotating encampments, the water runoff creating ankle breaking channels in the trail, the everyday wonder of what to expect going down the hill through the park, gave me pause, but it was the best way for me to get to work every day. So I used it in spite of how I felt. It was pretty freaky for a few years. Things seemed to have turned around in the last yearish.

I just want to give kudos to all those that participate with the reclamation and beautification efforts of Lower Kinnear Park. It feels better being in the park, and hearing others enjoying the tennis courts, and off leash dog area brightens my day. I know the city of Seattle has done a lot of work, but I also know there are a lot of volunteers that spend their own time and money to help with the efforts. Nice work, to all involved!
