Mayor to reopen park at Pike Place Market caught in totem pole standoff

Victor Steinbrueck Park to finally reopen tomorrow! Pike Place Market Historical Commission has essentially been holding Seattle Parks and Recreation hostage over the totem poles. Mayor Harrell seems to have gotten the commission to agree to opening the park while the “historic” totem poles are repaired.

This whole story is something out of Portlandia. But glad to see the park finally opening!
