Bit of a shameless plug for my wife incoming.
We moved to Seattle from the UK about three months ago and, while I’ve mostly been distracting myself with hiking – my wife has decided to do something more productive and start a small supper club.
For context, she spends an unreasonable amount of time thinking about food, reading about food, talking about food, cooking food, and occasionally remembering to eat it. So it’s about time.
The supper club is called LAZZAT and simply she’s focussed on: good food, good conversation, and hopefully a few new friends around the table.
For the first event, we’re hosting it for free because neither of us has any idea whether six people, sixty people, or absolutely nobody will turn up or be remotely interested. Instead, we’re encouraging donations to the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP).
It’s happening in Ballard on July 4th. With more details to follow!
I’m curious if something like this would appeal to people in Seattle? What would make you actually sign up for an event like this?
More details here.
