Need help re-homing fish and tank
![]() |
Mods, idk if this is allowed or not but we are getting desperate. We are moving across the country in ten days, and we’re having an impossible time trying to rehome our beloved fish. We’ve tried a couple times in a couple groups to find someone to rehome our fish family with, but with no luck so far. We originally came into this tank when a neighbor moved out around 6 years ago, and of course he swore to come pick up the tank within a month. As things obviously go, he never came back to get it. We’ve had a wild time learning how to take care of a tank we never really chose to get, but in the ensuing years we really fell in love with all the little goobers. We haven’t added fish to the tank in years, as we have known we would be moving for quite a while. The star of the tank is Glub Glub. The big chocolate/orange Oranda Goldfish. This guy is Mr. Personality! He’s friendly with every fish he meets, and sadly he has seen several come and go over the years. He is quite lonely these days, and would really benefit from having some more company. We also have one remaining African Cichlid, who used to be part of a larger school of Cichlids that diminished over time. Then there’s the hardy Albino Cory Catfish, and the ever popular four African Pygmy frogs. We are also giving away the full 80 gallon tank setup, fish included (or not). Excellent condition filter, all new filter media, aerator, heater, programmable timed UV/mukticolor light with remote, thermometer, water regulating chemicals, siphons, cleaning tools, magnet scrubbers, food, and aquarium stand. Everything for a complete tank setup. This is a great chance to pick up an awesome full setup. A great centerpiece, or keep it in the corner like we do. Serious inquiries only. Please do not offer to take if this will be an experiment for you, we are sad to have to part with our aquatic friends and we want our fish family to continue to live long, happy little fish lives! Our highest priority is finding a good home for the fish, so please don’t be shy if you have a tank and are looking to pick up some new established fish. Or if you know a place we can take the fish who will care for them responsibly, like Little Amazon up on Aurora or some similar place. We are running out of both ideas and time.
