Hey everyone! I’ve been very invested in our local bald eagle couple since I’ve been living here. They used to have a nest on the northeast end of Lake Sammamish, right at the border of Marymoor, but the windstorm two years back knocked over their tree. They had nested there for a very long time and last year nested somewhere nearby that spot, given the frequency I saw them in the vicinity. This year, though, they’ve nested farther away. I still see them all the time, but I can’t pin down the nest. I like to track how many eaglets they have, but I have no idea where they are! I just saw two juveniles for the first time today from my usual viewing spot, so I know they had a successful nesting season. Anyone know where the nest was this year? I’d love to get as close as I can to continue my observations. I’m only a hobby birder, not a professional, but I love our eagles so much. Any tips would be appreciated!!! submitted by /u/purplepluppy |
