New work! Mt. Rainier (looking south), 12″x13.25″ reduction woodcut

Hey friends – NW Seattle resident here who is also a printmaker. Just wanted to share my latest piece, a view of Mt Tahoma that’s based on a photo I took while flying back home a while back. For those not familiar with the printmaking process – this is a reduction woodblock print – essentially you are carving into a piece of wood, rolling on ink that’s then transferred to the paper, and continuing to carve away as you go. This print has about six layers in total. Thanks for looking.
