Northgate mall Christmas in the mid 90’s?

hello! Please help figure out my vague memory –

I am almost positive this was at northgate mall and took place sometime between 1994 – and maybe as late as1999ish?

I think this may be of been downstairs at the old bon marche (what became macys)

I remember an Christmas wonderland type place where my parents got scolded by a worker for letting my sibling and i wander and cause havoc unsupervised.

Does anyone have any idea what i am talking about?
