“TIM’s / Together in Music will assume day-to-day operations, and plans to keep it much the same: supporting artists, continuing bookings, keeping current staff, and retaining the chili menu (while adding vegan options). Tim’s will remain open in at the current White Center location, while continuing its SaveTims.com campaign after facing years of costly permitting & repairs required by King County.
#SlimsLastChance at 5606 1st Ave was opened in 2007 by Michael and Celeste Lucas (they first opened the neighboring Pig Iron Barbeque in 2004, which closed in 2023, before expanding with Slim’s). A Texas-style roadhouse, Slims has 2 stages – with its outdoor stage built on the flatbed of an 1960s Ford F-600 truck. Plus an outdoor patio, and award-winning chili, popular mac & cheese, burgers, and cornbread w/honey butter.
Slim’s has hosted countless bands & artists across genres including punk, Americana, country, surf, and rockabilly, Honky Tonk Happy Hour, the annual Halloween Cramps Tribute night, Vintage Motorcycle Enthusiasts meetups, Greaseball Auto & Bike Show featuring the Flying Cossacks, and much more.”
