Hey guys, 23 m and I was recently kicked out of my parents house due to not being able to find a job within my field of study (Computer Science). I been applying to jobs in software engineering for the past few months and had originally an offer but had it rescinded due to circumstances out of my control. Ever since that unfortunate event I been applying to jobs nonstop but been struggling to land an offer due to the overall state of the job market. As a result, my first gen Asian parents kicked me out of their house because they believed I wasn’t working hard enough since I didn’t have full time job and figured this would “teach me a lesson about hard work”. I tried reasoning with them about the job market and my situation but they don’t want to engage in conversation.
I’m very scared right now because I am very new to the area as I moved here a few months ago with my parents so I have no one to reach out for and don’t have much money right now as the majority of money I earned from my prior part time jobs has been used to pay my student loans. I’m also scared that being on the streets with a suitcase of my belongings would make me an easy target for crime. What should I do?
