Pioneer Photographer Theodore Peiser’s look south/south-east from the Occidental Hotel in Pioneer Square to the tidelands south of King Street and the still forested Beacon Hill, c.1884. Nearly all the buildings in the photo would burn during the Great Fire of 1889.
