Police activity in Roosevelt/Ravenna/Wedgewood last night?

Last night between 12:45 and 1:15a there were several cop cars spread out through these neighborhoods. They would run their sirens for literally one second and then stop for 20-30. You could hear one do it and then a another would do it from a ways away. The cars would stop somewhere for a bit while doing it and then move to somewhere else.

Any ideas what was going on – it certainly was very disruptive to sleeping!
