Just wanted to give people in the Roosevelt area a heads up about a guy named Nick, who I think might be running a scam.
He came up to me with a pretty convincing story saying it was his first time in Seattle and that he had been robbed at the Seattle Amtrak Station. He said his Airbnb was in Greenwood and that he just needed $25 to get an Amtrak ticket for that day. I ended up giving him the money.
About a week later, I saw the same guy again, and he was asking someone else for money with what sounded like the same story. I watched them both walk toward the same bank I had used to withdraw cash.
Just a heads up to be cautious if someone approaches you with a similar story. He said his name is Nick, claims he’s from Oakland, usually wears all black with a hat, and has number tattoos across his knuckles.
Don’t know if I’m trippin, but has anyone recently had a similar experience?
