I know this will probably fall on deaf ears, but an on-ramp to get on the freeway is meant to be used to get up to freeway speed by the time you hit the merge point. Obviously there are areas around here that are always backed up where this is not feasible, but if you’re in an area where you will immediately merge into the far right lane on a freeway, you absolutely should not be driving 40 mph.
People who do this actually create more dangerous situations than just driving the speed they’re supposed to be. It also pisses people off so … yeah.
