PSA: the fire department takes gym equipment donations

I was thinking of offloading my treadmill since even when the weather is bad, I just run outside or opt for the indoor bike trainer. When looking to donate, I saw a post in another cities subreddit saying they donated a treadmill to the FD, so I reached out to ours.

They do indeed take donations and will pick up the stuff. Obviously, please only donate stuff in good working condition. But it’s a great way to give back if you don’t need something and are in a position to gift vs sell something.

Edit to add: it was good timing too bc the LT noted one of their treadmills just died too.
