PSA: The loud booming/explosions from Alki Sat afternoon will be the SeaFair pirates landing at Alki, and not terrorists/Trump/techbros coming to bomb Seattle

This happens every year as part of SeaFair activities.

Landing approx 1:30pm near the bathhouse on Alki.

Based on prior years, booming will go on for anywhere 10-15 minutes pre landing as they approach the beach. They have modified the cannon to be little quiter than it used to be but it is still loud.

Sound carries over water so can be heard in many parts of the city. Prepare your pups if they are sensitive to booming type noises..
