Not a specifically Seattle article- but the map shows that land the entire length of the Cascade Mountain range, a large ring of Olympic National Park, as well as wide swathes of Eastern Washington land, are all going on the auction block. Every national park in this state will be decimated. Hundreds of miles of national parks and hiking trails people love and highlight as a reason they decide to move and settle in Seattle, because of the easy access to abundant pristine wilderness, which we’ll lose if this bill passes and it gets sold to corporations that want to raze it for “resource extraction.” submitted by /u/gonin69 |
