Saddle Up: “Wild West Weekend” features closures on I-405, SR 167 and I-5
![]() |
Saddle up, partners. Wild West Weekend is coming to central Puget Sound, and we’ve got some rowdy roads to wrangle. Grab your lasso, your map and your favorite alternate, uh, horse (like KC Metro or Sound Transit). Giddy up. (Look, we’re just trying to make this kind of fun, so forgive the cowboy shtick). Here’s who is on our WANTED list this weekend: -Northbound I-405 in Renton, 11:59 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday -Southbound I-405 in Kirkland, 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday -Southbound SR 167 in Kent, 11:59 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday -Southbound I-5 at the Seattle Convention Center, 11 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. On top of that, keep an eye out for some known accomplices: Seattle Department of Transportation has some work on the Westbound I-90 off-ramp to southbound Rainier Ave S, and Sound Transit Lynnwood Link construction is fixin’ to happen from 10 p.m. Friday through late July. Even if it isn’t your first rodeo, plan ahead for a full-scale, multi-corridor roundup across the region with closures and detours. Here’s a deeper dive into these closures, plus some tips on how to stay one step ahead before you ride off into the sunset: https://wsdotblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/wild-west-weekend.html submitted by /u/wsdot |
