Scarry/odd situation in Kirkland park

I just wanted to share my experience to alert parents of kids and people who walk past the Kirkland park across from Whole Foods. I am younger presenting female and new to the area, not sure how safe it is but I was robbed at gunpoint few months ago elsewhere in the city. I was walking alone around 7:30pm down the hill when I decided to use the restroom. No one was at the park or nearby, I looked all around before I went in. I heard nothing but there could’ve been someone closer to the lake or behind the building. There’s three separate restrooms from the outside that are unlocked. Not three seconds after I went in and locked the door, mid-pee (not like they couldn’t hear me if it was just an innocent person knocking?) someone knocked on the door loudly and slowly, almost in a threatening way like they were intentionally trying to scare me. They didn’t try the handle. I said “Yes?” and heard nothing. I assume if it’s dark out and the park is empty you would try the handles first instead of knocking. I also assumed they must’ve seen me go in then knocked especially since it had only been seconds.

I decided to call police, just in case whoever it was was waiting for me to open the door since I never heard them leave. As soon as I did I heard them leave. They didn’t try to open or knock on the other bathroom doors so that was telling.

After the call, I heard sirens so I stepped out and whoever it was wasn’t there anymore. My point is be careful if you’re there at night and maybe don’t go alone. I’m not sure who it was but something didn’t add up and I wanted to share just in case. Be safe!
