I learned here that these dinosaurs were recently removed and unceremoniously cut up and thrown in a dumpster. I happened to get a scan of them just a few months earlier. I feel very fortunate to have taken this dataset just in the nick of time. You never know when your scanning habit might accidentally become history. Low res version got some traction in the comments, so I re-processed at higher quality with a larger dataset from 2 combined passes, made it downloadable. I can share source files via DM as well if anyone else wants to play with them. People in comments asked about 3d printing, definitely possible but would require cleanup I haven’t done yet. Would be happy to if there is interest. Shot on Pixel 8. Processed in Spirula Studio, bg sky sphere from same dataset in Luma, combined and cleaned in Supersplat. submitted by /u/Crowded_Bathroom |
