Seattle Freeze? Don’t Know Her

TW: Passing out

Hey all, I don’t normally post at all, but I had something happen today that I thought I’d share (and it’s a good thing-ish!)

I woke up late this morning to go take some fasting blood tests, so I didn’t even got on the bus until after 10am (ate dinner at like 6pm last night). So after rushing to get dressed and on the bus, I started over-heating/getting really light-headed, leaned my head on one of the yellow bars by the doors (I was standing because the bus was packed), and must have passed out for a few seconds because next thing I knew, I was on my knees and there were a bunch of people surrounding me.

This nice gentleman got up from the seat he was sitting in to let me sit down and this other super nice gentleman gave me some water with liquid IV in it and a snack bar. I still had yet to do the tests, so I just drank the water and saved the bar for later.

I’m mostly making this post to thank the two gentlemen who helped me out today, especially the man who gave me the water and snack bar! You were a literal life-saver whoever you are and I am so thankful that I live in Seattle where people will stop and help you out when going through something like that.

P.S. I got off the bus system and called my bestie/roomie to take me to the doctor’s office to finish out my blood tests and I just finished eating lunch, so I’m all good now!
