Secret Visitor from Area 51

Secret Visitor from Area 51

Groom Lake (Area 51) and the Tonopah Test Range are where the Department of Defense does a lot of secret testing of advanced aircraft and evaluation of foreign technology (aircraft, radar, anti-aircraft systems), but the people working there don’t live on the bases. So they commute daily, and they commute from a private terminal at the Las Vegas airport on a fleet of unmarked 737s known as Janet flights. This Janet airplane landed at Paine Field yesterday and was quickly moved into the ATS hangar. Supposedly they get their engines swapped out there from time to time.

Kind of a unique visitor with an interesting history.
