Senate leader says with changes, rent stabilization bill could pass

OLYMPIA, Wash — The Washington State Senate failed to pass a bill to limit rent increases in 2024.

The majority leader of the Washington state Senate said that may not happen until 2025.

”I think we will have the votes to pass rent stabilization this year,” said Pedersen, D-Seattle, “But there are a number of dials within that policy that I think we have members interested in adjusting before it’s complete.”
