Stashing stuff in public storage for a week

Moving apartments in Bellevue downtown and the current lease ends a week prior to when an apt we really want for a killer price becomes available. We’re thinking of putting all our furniture and belongings in storage for a week and crashing at a friend’s place and then moving into the new apartment.

I’m assuming leaving it in storage is fine. I’ve never done that before. Anyone has kept their stuff in storage and has any suggestions? Thanks!
