(Stupid question, kindness appreciated) – How does unloading garbage at the transfer station work?

I’ve been to the transfer station to drop off recycling before, and you have to toss your recycling in some big dumpsters.

For the garbage drop off, do you also have to toss it into a dumpster, or is there a flat unloading area to leave furniture/big items?

I’m a smallish woman and can get the items into my car, but I don’t know if I could get them into a tall dumpster by myself. Just trying to figure out if I need to get help for this part of the process, or if I can handle it by myself.
