i had just left my office crying because of some family-related issues and i needed to walk and get some fresh air.
some dude was /zooming/ down 2nd on the sidewalk on a lime bike right next to the bike lanes, and was about a foot away from hitting me. post-cry, shocked me just screamed, “use the bike lanes, asshole!!” and a very nice woman talked with me for the next two blocks. honestly my anger from nearly getting hit shocked me out of my tears and i’m very grateful to the lady who talked with me afterwards.
if you’re gonna use lime scooters or bikes, please wear a helmet and also don’t put pedestrians at risk pls
