We spoke very briefly and it was nice hearing you were from Georgia and that we exchanged your shared experiences about people who have been ingrained to think and react negatively to specific issues if all they’ve ever known is knowledge held from a few select communities in the pockets of the deep South.
Thank you for choosing Seattle as a new place to live and coming here. It’s always exciting to hear that people come here for different reasons or stem from all walks of life. I made this post because I hope you and many more new ppl find community here. I also made this post because I felt I truly didn’t live up to the impact a welcoming Seattle resident should have been. I’m sure everyone struggles but all of the past few days involved way too much for me to digest and take in, hence I didn’t have what it could take to tell you of great hidden gems and all that, etc – conversation-continuing. It could take all day to list them in here, but please know you and many new folks are welcomed here.
