Things to do holiday season “alone”.

Hey everyone,

Well, as the title suggests, I’m finding myself with a bit of unexpected “me” time this holiday season. I had plans to visit home in NY, but unfortunately, those fell through.

Now I’m stuck here while all my friends are away, the weather’s pretty miserable, and I’m running out of ideas to make the most of this time. I looked into some last-minute flights, but everything’s ridiculously expensive. Driving seems like an option, but it’d be a long haul, and most of the northern states look cold and gloomy (at least until you get west of Boise, ID).

So, I’m turning to you all for suggestions! Any ideas for a road trip, quick getaway, or just fun things to do locally that could help break the monotony? I do have a backlog of work, but honestly, I’d rather not spend the holidays just catching up on that.
