This may be one of the best things ever eaten

I dropped by Cepae (@cepaewinebar on insta) on 106th to see if they had any canelés – they didn’t – but they DO have a new French pastry chef and a good sized selection of a variety of pastries. This thing though… I think it’s called a brown butter croissant. It’s slightly sweet, and the top is crispy and all those layers are DELICIOUS. Probably the best pastry I’ve had in the last 10 years, and certainly the best I’ve had since Cafe Besalu closed in Ballard.

I’m no food blogger or influencer, but I’m hoping a few people see this because I’d love for this place to stick around.
