Trafficking Help

As we know the larger events always bring in the unsavory harsh realities including child and adult sex trafficking as well as various risks going out to party in bars and clubs.

I wanted to just post a quick few numbers in case anyone has arrived here against their will.

If you suspect trafficking there is a place there to report it.

If you are unsafe and need immediate help call 911. If you need help finding resources see below National and Washington resources.

If you find yourself unwell and suspecting being drugged:

Call 911, drink water as much as you can and stay put in a safe place so your help can get to you. Only leave if you are unsafe and don’t try to drive obviously.

There are known cases of being drugged at local Seattle bars and not just a few and as it’s big events time it’s very much more risky to go out and drink right now for women but also men.
Men can be assaulted and also men can be drugged and taken to an ATM for money etc bc the drug renders you unable to think clearly or remember what is happening. If you do go out guard your drink and if you put it down be done with that drink. I am sure there are many more tips and tricks but I will link this for ppl to know about it and what to do:

This is a peak time with many unfamiliar people in a small space and a lot of parties and events which are fun and also side events and parties which are extremely unsafe so be sure you are with people you know. Don’t go alone and check in with each other or stay together and know your drinking limits etc and have your friend know it too so they can get you help if you have symptoms of spiking.

Hate to be the voice of reality here but I’m very sad to think of the number of young women and some men who will be victimized while these events are happening. Please be safe whether you are new to Seattle or you have lived here all your life and think you know the safe spaces to go.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot and wish there was more info and resources for humans dragged to town for solicitation and victimized as well as humans going to a club to have fun and end up in the ER getting a rape kit done. I’ve seen the story of a local women who was assaulted and said her kit testing was done by a dedicated staff who treated her with the utmost kindness and allowing her time to consent etc.
Even if you are a teen who just goes out and don’t want your family to know or an adult with some need for privacy, don’t fail yourself and not report a crime. The only way to help this problem is to get it into the right hands. Sadly I know many will be victims and I wish there was a central location in puget sound for immediate help.

If you find you have been assaulted call 911 or if you are confused as to what to do here are some resources for help navigating your way thru an assault with good quality assistance.
