Walk with me through downtown then along the waterfront towards Pike Place Market

I have been taking advantage of the light rail for the first time this week… taking it from where I live (Des Moines) into the city. I’m still fairly new to Seattle. I lived here previously from 2017-2021 but moved back this past July from Cincinnati (my hometown) to be close to my sister who has lived in the area for 10+ years. I had successfully transferred from my employer in Cincinnati to the same employer in Seattle but got laid off recently and have a bunch of free time on my hands for the time being. Anyways, I knew what I was getting myself into weather wise by moving back… the gray and rainy winters… but it has felt a bit extra for me this go around. I guess I didn’t remember just how gray and rainy it stays for months on end. It kind of beats the cold and snowy months you have during the winter in Cincinnati but it still takes some getting used to the winter months in Seattle. I feel like it’s finally over. The weather was amazing today. My legs are tired.
