TLDR: blue workwear jacket that says “Chuck” (photo in comments) stolen from Linda’s, looking for help IDing person who stole it in security footage. Last night I was meeting friends at Linda’s Tavern on Capitol Hill. I wore my favorite jacket: a blue workwear jacket with a name tag that says “Chuck” from “Trailer Sales” that I bought decades ago at a flea market when I was 9 years old. This jacket is the one possession I’ve kept with me since childhood—I lost pretty much everything else in a hurricane that destroyed my family’s home years ago. I was on the back patio around ~11:30pm last night (Friday, April 10th) when I set my jacket down on the ground near our picnic table after noticing friends at another table and going to say hello. While my back was turned, a guy from the table behind us (green jacket guy with a ponytail) gets up, takes my jacket from where I’d set it, shows it off to his friends, laughs at it, and then proceeds to take it with him as he and his friends exited the bar. This has had me sadder than I imagined I could be about a jacket, it’s really the only nostalgic thing I own and I’ve been wearing it everywhere I go for over 20 years. I’m really hoping that someone can help me recognize the guy who took it or someone from his table. I’m offering $100 for info that leads to its return, no questions asked. If I can just get this jacket back, truly no hard feelings. Please help me identify the person who took it or his friends!
