Wanted to hang this banner over the railing as the Pursuit Church crowd was leaving City Hall, but SPD said I’d be arrested

This seems like viewpoint discrimination. It’s tarp, so the safety risk was minimal even if it fall. If they’re worried about safety, the thing is that people hold and hang banners off the railings all the time if they are “part of the event”; it seems if it were really a safety-related reason, it shouldn’t matter if the people holding the banner are on “the same side” or not.

Oh well. There will be other opportunities (unfortunately).
