Lately when I take the 36 going South, it moves at an absolute crawl and jerks like the driver has a foot on each pedal. When it gets to the stop sign just before the Golf Drive stop, it often seems to shut down completely and we sit there for 2-3 minutes at a time. No traffic or people, just a stop sign.
I’ve tried to ask the driver if there’s something wrong with the bus when this happens but none of them have ever said anything other than “It’s fine, just wait for your stop.” I’m not being snotty about it when I ask- I’m honestly just curious what causes this.
Last night it took us nearly an hour to get home because we were inching along at about 8mph and stopping at every single light downtown. It almost felt like the driver was deliberately going slowly enough that the light would turn red right as we got to it.
