What’s up with no community garden on Alki / Admiral?

Really sad that I no longer live in walking distance to a garden. As an apartment dweller, really bummed about the lack of space here on Alki. Gardening is such a fun and healthy mental outlet and have a tangible reward after some time and patience. I can think of a few underutilized locations but not sure who owns them or if its city property.
