Good day, Seattle!
It’s time once again for the annual World Naked Bike Ride, Seattle edition!
When and Where: Tomorrow, Saturday, July 12. Meet at 1pm at Gas Works near Kite Hill (NW plateau) Ride Out at 2pm
About the Event: Every year, in cities around the world, people ride bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the human body.
The ride, which will take us on a multi-hour tour of many of the city’s hot spots, demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against car culture, as we use our naked bodies to power us forward, instead of fossil fuels. Less gas, more ass! Note that although nudity is strongly encouraged, the ride is “bare as you dare”, to accommodate as many as want to participate.
Forecast for tomorrow looks great, so don’t forget to bring your sun screen!
Questions? Feel free to DM me here… I’m not an official organizer, just someone who’s been a rider since 2011, so I should be able to answer most questions.
