I’m maybe surprised that local legends don’t include Goddess Kring, but maybe she’s a deep cut. Pre-internet Goddess Kring was up there with Jim Rose and John Keister and Cashman and Guppy and I’m dating myself.
Goddess Kring low key set the atmosphere for what was at the heart of the spirit of Capitol Hill in the 90s, which set the bar for the rest of the ship canal neighborhoods, and I’m kinda shocked talking about the good ol’ days and thinking back to seeing Goddess Kring, like, around, and feeling famous for seeing someone I thought was famous and killing it.
Anyway, I’m watching art documentaries and she deserves one. I’m not funding the bay but I will buy tickets.
