What the title says. Being a condo owner here in Seattle I’ve had the pleasure to witness the (mafia) industry around safety inspections of various kind.
To my shock, the same company that inspects also bids on any repairs they deem appropriate and are expected to perform themselves. How the f*** is this even legal?? It’s a massive conflict of interest.
Is this a Seattle / WA thing? If so, I hope our incoming mayor does something about it… because this is just another way large companies are preying on people that live on high density housing.
