Downtown Seattle with new Downtown Tunnel, central district, and Madison Valley Lines. Tacoma Expansion with new LINK Station by Tacoma Dome Station I’ve based this off of the Vision Map by Seattle Subway, existing Sound Transit Proposals, and general extrapolation of where to go after existing plans get built out. I built this all in one of my favorite games: NIMBY Rails -I’d rather the Ballard extension just run up Aurora Ave until Lynnwood but sound Transit definitely seems to be going for elevated viaducts wherever possible. So I’ve gone for viaduct for most of the length, diving underground for certain sections Like the jut over to Edmonds and from Fremont to Haller Lake area. -I’ve also gone for a second downtown tunnel running under 5th Ave -A Central District Line to service the late i mean L8 line, especially since that entire area just keeps adding density. This Line runs from Rainier, intersects the 2 at Judkins, and eventually ends in Belltown. -I added a branch line that services the tip of West Seattle/Admiral that loops south to Tukwila, Renton, through Bellevue, Kirkland, Dives under Lake Washington to service as a cross line between U-Dsitrict and Ballard, Eventually it ends up in another branch for Madison Valley. -Eagle eyed folks may spot the Queen Anne Counterbalance made a comeback. -SODO has been set up as a cross platform transfer area, with some minor tweaking of platform placement and scissor switches. -The SLU and Capitol Hill street cars have been merged along 1st Ave, intersects with the new SLU/Denny Station planned for the Ballard Extension. -Issaquah gets two new stations along with stops in East Gate, Bellevue College, extends up to Woodinville via Redmond. -Everett extension dives underground to run along the main avenue and ends at Everett College. -Give me 5 tunnel boring machines, $50Billion, and immunity from NIMBY’s and I can get this done by 2040 and the trains will compliment you when you board. submitted by /u/Jessintheend |
