This flu season has been outrageous in our area. I just recently got over having the flu after even having a flu shot. And I was sick for two weeks. Nothing too bad, fever, feeling tired, etc.
But I wonder what it would have been like without the shot. I’m guessing worse.
This season, a new variant is kicking around. I haven’t done all of my research, so feel free to correct me, but from what little I have read it’s called subclade K, a type of H3N2. It is only a partial match to the flu shot, but it still helps mitigate harm.
Be safe out there.
