Seattle Art Museum workers are organizing because they see the potential SAM has to thrive.

SAMWU is organizing because they see the gaps in SAM’s programming and management decisions that are hindering the museum’s success. They work every day with visitors, artists, and donors, but are held back by decisions made in board rooms by people who have never worked in a museum.

With a seat at the table, workers could make meaningful changes to the museum that could help with visitor experiences, worker retention, and overall operations within SAM.
