What $20 of gas gets you from Seattle now vs. February

Seattle might be my favorite city for this series so far just because of what the geography does to the map.

Back in February, $20 of gas worked out to about 91 miles of driving range from Seattle. At today’s price, you’re down to about 70 miles. Same twenty bucks, about 21 fewer miles.

And unlike some of the other cities I’ve done, Seattle really shows why I calculate these using the road network instead of drawing a circle. Puget Sound and the limited ways around it make for a pretty wild shape.
