EVERY ROAD IN AND OUT OF BALLARD SUCKS ASS.
Stop signs every block on 14th Ave NW below Market. Traffic jams by PCC. Additional stoplights on 15th Ave NW at NW 53rd St, 58th, 70th & 83rd (the latter appears to change for NO PARTICULAR REASON). 28th Ave NW closed long-term for construction. No left turn to northbound 22nd Ave NW from Market. No going straight on 17th Ave NW across Market either north or south. No turning northbound onto 17th Ave NW from the post office. No going across 15th Ave NW on NW 58th St at all!
It’s just a fucking mess of trying to get to the post office with packages and then UPS and Fred Meyer etc. Not to mention that street parking outside of TJ’s now costs money. Traffic jams and speed bumps on NW 65th St heading east and west, speed bumps on 3rd Ave NW, speed bumps coming to 8th Ave NW. Traffic jams on 80th & 85th, traffic jams into Ballard on 45th/Market. New light on Market at 11th Ave NW.
Every goddamn day!!! It’s fucked up. They built up Ballard as an “urban village” but apparently forgot to run light rail here. Forgot that it’s still fucking far from I-5. And forgot that we actually NEED to drive our shipping, groceries and selves to & fro.
