First Light opened in Belltown nearly two years ago, and apparently the landscaping budget didn’t survive construction. While other condos and apartment buildings in Belltown somehow manage to employ staff to keep their sidewalks and landscaping presentable, First Light is still proudly displaying the same bare dirt and plastic planting rings that have been there since opening. Mind you, this is a luxury condo tower where many units sell for well over $1 million. I understand times are tough. After spending seven figures on a condo, there’s probably not much left over for extravagant luxuries like plants, landscaping, or basic property maintenance. Perhaps we, as fellow Seattleites, could come together and start a GoFundMe to help these struggling homeowners afford a groundskeeper. Maybe even a shrub or two.
