The other night my friends and I (f22) wanted to grab a casual quick drink in cap hill and stumbled upon last drop bottle shop. The place was empty but we liked what they had on tap and thought why not.
We were sitting near the window and this guy walking by saw us and stopped, decided to walk inside and went straight to the bar to buy us a bottle of wine. At first I thought he was just being nice, but it became very apparent very quickly that he was super creepy and had definitely been on the streets beforehand. He was asking questions about where we were going, what we’re doing, where we’re from, etc. when we asked him to leave he got pretty aggressive and my friends and I were visibly uncomfortable and eyeing the bartender. Eventually I got super firm with the guy and told him to fuck off until he eventually moved to the table literally right next to us. He continued to stare and grin at us from a few feet away.
I had already texted my friend and we got out pretty quick but honestly the craziest part of the interaction was that the bartender did nothing to step in, despite the situation being obviously inappropriate. I mean the place was empty, so it wasn’t like he was busy doing something else. Was curious if anyone else had a similar experience there or anywhere else in the area. I hope that guy doesn’t do that to another young group of girls. I don’t want to know what would have happened if we tried to walk home after that but thank god we didn’t.
