As of 3:30 about 100 people. This is one is organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, Troublemakers, and other relatively “normie” groups and the chants have so far been making the lines of “Up, up with liberation, down, down with occupation!” (Compared to the last event https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/s/NhHFTjBXuF where people were literally chanting “Long Live October 7th” and “We support Hamas here”.) Speakers are currently asking the Washington State Investment Board to divest from companies contributing to or profiting from Israel’s attacks on Gaza. With the name “Cut Ties with Genocide” and being in South Lake Union, I assume we are marching to one of the nearby tech companies, but I’m not in that loop. submitted by /u/bennetthaselton |
