My ex boyfriend physically assaulted me, chased me into a local graveyard and pepper sprayed my back as I was trying to prevent him from entering my room, and at sentencing he only got 24 months of unsupervised probation.
He committed a felony by how he hurt me, but because this was his first attempt, he got a lenient punishment.
Im trying to heal and move on, but I feel disgusted by the outcome. I’m in therapy, was already in it, but he added so much more trauma to my life, and it feels so unfair.
